Linda Hale Bucklin
BEYOND HIS CONTROL resonates with many, not only because few women of my generation have spoken up, but also because it contains universal themes: the courage to speak up against abuse of power, the seductive world of money, loss of a loved one, and the transformative power of forgiveness.
Biography

Linda Bucklin lives with her husband in San Francisco.  In addition to her recent memoir, with Mary Keil she coauthored  Come Rain or Come Shine, a nonfiction collection of women's stories of friendship.

Family, friends, spiritual pursuits, a good book, bridge, winning the Nationals with tennis partner Charlie Hoeveler, exercising her mind at vibrantBrains, listening to a Puccini opera, landing a 20-inch rainbow trout (catch and release, of course), and attending the opening of a new Broadway musical all make Linda's heart sing!

Linda has served on the board of the Magic Theatre, was the first women president of the California Tennis Club, and is an associate regent of the Kenmore Museum in Fredericksburg, Va. For many years she also served on the Board of Trustees at Grace Cathedral, where she spearheaded the fundraising to create the Marialice King Hale library, honoring her mother.

An avid outdoorswoman, Linda also spends time duck hunting with her husband in Northern California, and camping and fly fishing in Montana.
